Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. She made her feature film debut as the Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in the year 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Approached by a photographer Doody took up modelling and subsequently an industry-related career in modelling. Doody was very determined not to do glamour or nude work. The rule was extended to Doody's acting work. She accepted a small role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was noticed by the casting director. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody is only 18 when she played Doody in the movie A Prayer to the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond Girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias as she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation of The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking perhaps her most well-known role ever in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After a long absence from screen Doody came back to acting, by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the event scene for the award ceremony. The year 2004, she starred in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody was a character of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest in RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to play the lead role in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. In 2011, she started the first season of two in the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award as well as a star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
